Investing in Others

We have a bold vision to transform the global food system which will help improve the lives of billions of farmed animals. We also recognize that phasing out the worst factory farming methods and transforming the food system will require much greater resources than any one organization.

Thanks to the support of Open Philanthropy, we've created and launched a groundbreaking grant program called Investing in Others.

This initiative provides financial and technical support to grassroots organizations across Southeast Asia to increase their potential to both directly and indirectly improve farmed animal welfare across the region. Through building a strong global animal protection community, we will shift cultural attitudes towards animals and encourage consumers worldwide to move away from factory farming. 

Each of our partners have the potential to disrupt the status quo on an issue that is critical to achieving our global farming strategy. By working with them, we can innovate and test approaches that have the potential to be game changers.

Through this initiative, we're not just creating better lives for farmed animals, we're empowering local communities to come together and create a new higher welfare model of farming that will replace the cruel, unsustainable factory farming system.

• Advocate for policy changes that prioritize animal welfare and sustainable practices.  
• Work with food businesses to end cruel practices and systems, such as barren and crowded environments and painful mutilations.  
• Improve the lives of farmed animals by implementing new standards that ensure animals' basic needs are met.  
• Cultivate a shared vision for higher livestock welfare standards globally, ensuring healthier lives for animals and communities alike.
