To make them submissive enough to give rides, perform in shows and allow other human interactions, baby elephants undergo a cruel training process called ‘the crush’.
Happy Canada Day!
Today is a day to celebrate with pets and people just how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful country. As many of you know, Scott Cantin, a critical member of our Disaster Management team frequently spends Canada Day outside of his native country – helping animals in need all around the world. He has sent a special message to thank each and every one of you for your generous contributions to help animals whenever and wherever they need help.
Scott’s work, and the work of all of our dedicated field staff would not be possible without your generous support. Thank you for your dedication and Happy Canada Day from everyone at World Animal Protection!
Don’t forget the animals this Canada Day, especially those that are less fortunate than our own pets. Please give generously to honour them and show your dedication to move the world to protect animals.
