Want to know where Canada’s main political parties stand on animal protection? Don’t miss the national animal protection debate – your chance to hear directly from party representatives on how Parliament can do better for animals.

Together with partner animal protection organizations, we are hosting a national animal protection debate to hear where the main political parties stand on key animal welfare issues.

📅 Date: Wednesday, April 23, 2025

🕛 Time: 12 P.M. Eastern Time

Attendees will also have an opportunity to suggest questions to be posed to the candidates, so be sure to tune in!

Moderated by Karman Wong

Karman has more than 20 years of experience as a communications professional, with the unique perspective of being on both sides of the camera. Karman worked as a reporter and anchor for Toronto's 24-hour news channel - CP24. Previously, Karman spent over ten years as a communications advisor to the Premier of Ontario and several cabinet ministers. She served as the Premier’s Director of Issues Management and Legislative Affairs. She has also held senior positions in campaigns at the municipal and provincial level.

Karman currently manages a boutique communication firm specializing in media relations, communications strategy, media training and crisis communications.
