Thank you for participating in our ‘Plan Meatless Better’ survey
Thank you
Your response is invaluable to help improve our work.
This campaign, and our work in general, is about encouraging people to make small achievable daily changes that help animals as well as the planet and themselves. Sharing your feedback on your experience will help us improve our campaign approach and material to inspire even more Canadians to plan meatless better.
As promised, here is your tasty meatless recipe from World Animal Protection Ambassador and morning show host, Gurdeep Ahluwalia:
Gurdeep’s “Weekend” Protein Pancakes
- I cup of oats of your choice (rolled works best)
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 scoop protein powder (I prefer vanilla)
- Dash of cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cage-free egg
- Enough non-dairy milk to make it spreadable
Stir it up with a whisk.
Heat a skillet to medium with an oil or butter of your choice. Drop in a couple of spoonfuls of the batter. Cook until bubbles appear on the surface and the bottoms are golden-brown, about 3 minutes. Flip the pancakes and cook until the other side is done, about 2 minutes more. Cook in batches.
You can top with syrup or, if you want to keep it healthier, you can do a fruit compote.
