Here are some ways that you, as an employee, can support World Animal Protection at your work:

  • Ask your employer if they will match your personal donation to World Animal Protection. Many corporations have matching gift programs already. It’s a great way to leverage your company and double your gift to help protect more animals.
  • Start a new employee giving program at your place of work with World Animal Protection as your charity of choice.
  • Approach your company's charity committee (if you have one) for a corporate gift on behalf of World Animal Protection Canada.
  • Ask your employer to add World Animal Protection to your employee charity giving program so that animal lovers in your company can choose to support animal welfare.
  • Direct a federated campaign gift. Donating to your office United Way Campaign? Why not ask if you can direct your campaign donation to World Animal Protection as it will still count as part of your company goal and be directed to your favourite charity.
  • Become an Animal Protector by giving a monthly donation. Your monthly contribution can be applied via credit card or through payroll deductions. Don’t forget about the corporate matching gift potential!
  • Get creative and raise funds for World Animal Protection virtually or through an existing event (be sure to adhere to public health guidelines).
  • Hold a virtual fundraising event.

Help end cruelty and suffering by raising awareness of animal welfare issues at your workplace. Here’s how:

  • Become a “Workplace World Animal Protection Advocate”. We will work with you to help create an awareness campaign to bring attention to animal welfare issues and raise support for vital campaigns to protect animals.
  • Consider encouraging your co-workers to participate in a World Animal Protection action to help protect animals, like signing a petition or writing a letter to their MP.
  • Include information about World Animal Protection in your next newsletter or on your company’s intranet.
  • Meet with your President/CEO or Human Resources department for support to launch a World Animal Protection campaign at work. Get them involved by sending an all staff email and/or having them say a few words.
  • Hold a virtual lunch and learn session to share information about World Animal Protection. We can help you with materials and preparing information.
